Physical & Chemical Properties:
F40 is one kind of hypocrystalline and translucent polymer, the crystallinity is approximately 50%~60%, specific gravity is 1.7, and it is the lightest kind of the existing thermoplastic. F40 has excellent mechanical strength, stiffness and abrasion resistance that makes it rank first among all existing thermoplastic. The melting point of F40 is 260¡æ, upper service temperature range is from ¨C60¡æ to 150¡æ, lower service temperature is 230¡æ, heat of fusion is more than 300¡æ. F40 provides excellent resistance to attack by the chemicals and solvents that can cause rapid deterioration of other plastics and all but the most costly metal alloys. F40 is inert to strong mineral acids, inorganic bases, halogens, and metal salt solutions.
Utility:
As it has excellent stiffness, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance, mechanical strength, it is widely used in such areas as chemistry, telecommunication, equipment manufacturing and aviation area.
